Suzanne Caplan
Suzanne Caplan began her consulting career two decades ago, working primarily with start-up businesses. Over the last 10 years, she has worked with a large number of businesses in financial restructuring and planning exit strategies as well as reengineering operations. She has also worked with a number of business turn-arounds. She has assisted contracting companies, manufacturers, restaurants, and retail operations. More than two-thirds of the starts-ups she assisted are still in business and over 75% of her business turn-arounds have been successful.
Taking over the family business (a million-dollar manufacturer of industrial safety clothing, started in 1907), Suzanne ran Pittsburgh Glove Manufacturing for 21 years, serving clients throughout the United States. In 1989 she started a database information network with several partners. This operation served the safety industry, brokering excess inventory.
An established business writer, Suzanne draws on her own challenges and successes to help other business owners. She provides applicable advice as well as insight into the emotional highs and lows, and interpersonal dynamics faced by business owners.
Suzanne Caplan has been speaking with audiences for over 20 years. Comfortable with small, intimate gatherings and large groups, Caplan speaks on personal empowerment, small business success tips and professional development for business consultants.
