Steve Bryant

Steve Bryant was born and raised in the heartland of Kansas and was always looking to the brilliant blue sky yearning to learn more about the world. He always had a keen eye for detail and loved to explore nature’s offerings, especially glimmering rocks. As a Midwesterner, Steve was exposed to and learned the traditional  old-school values of giving his best effort through hard work, determination, and using common sense.

In 1987, Steve received his Bachelor’s degree in Geology and soon began his environmental career. Steve was initiated to the environmental consulting world by exploring the bowels of airline passenger terminals, airline maintenance hangars, and steam-generating facilities at Newark International Airport, JFK International Airport, and Teterboro Airport on his task of identifying and evaluating asbestos-containing materials (ACM). For the next few years, he traveled from coast to coast and beyond, to Hawaii, Japan, and American Samoa, conducting and managing asbestos identification surveys at private hospitals, multiple industrial facilities, military installations, schools, and commercial and housing developments. Steve has acted on behalf of both owners and sellers of these types of properties.

Steve has over 17 years of technical experience in various aspects of environmental investigations and remediation. He has experience in asbestos assessment, management and removal; underground storage tank (UST) removals; and Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments related to property transactions and redevelopment following American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) protocols. He has extensive experience in work plan/sampling and analysis plan preparation, subcontractor evaluation and selection, field sampling, data evaluation, and report preparation. In addition, he has conducted oversight and reviewed technical documents related to remedial investigations and remediation activities at numerous Superfund sites for EPA Region VII.  Steve is a registered Professional Geologist in the states of Missouri, Illinois, and Washington, and maintains EPA Asbestos Inspector and Management Planner accreditations.
