Michael Williams

Mr. Williams is a real estate investor, author and business owner. He is co-author of the Rogue Real Estate Investor Collection. Michael studied geology and environmental science in college and he occasionally helps with environmental property transfers for industry and government clients.

After a multi-billion dollar engineering firm asked him to move or loose his job, Michael took a different option. He used a few simple real estate investing concepts to stay at home and create more wealth than he could have ever dreamed of with his previous job.

In 1999, he co-founded Mind Like Water, Inc. and the Rogue Investor products, which he uses to help others succeed in real estate. He still remains actively involved in real estate investing.

When not investing or working with his clients and customers, he enjoys camping, fossil and mineral hunting, martial arts and traveling. He lives in the Kansas City area with his wife Patricia and their two sons Casey and Tanner.

Mr. Williams' childhood consisted of playing games, like his favorite Monopoly. He used to carry his Monopoly board around and play for hours. His family spent vacations traveling across the country from the east to west coast. This allowed him opportunities to see different types of people, spectacular wildlife and amazing landforms.

The traveling, along with his love for the outdoors, resulted in an interest in the most basic form of real estate land, and specifically the science of Geology.

After obtaining a B.S. in Geology and a Master's degree in Environmental Science, he worked for two large engineering firms that specialized in working with the government and industrial clients to help clean up contaminated properties.

In 1992, Mr. Williams purchased his first home and shortly after that his first rental property. This excitement resulted in signing up for a course to become a licensed real estate agent.

However, what he found that worked was and is real estate investing, not being an agent. With very little money down he was able to purchase several other properties and bring in cash flow and increase his net worth in just a few years. In 1999, he retired from his environmental career to work on his new career in real estate and a company co-founded by co-author Bryan Rundell.
